Start with your warehouse
A high storage area with a few fixed workstations needs a different approach from a warehouse where staff move constantly. We look at where and when heat is needed and which conditions affect comfort.
Packing tables, sorting stations and inspection areas are logical starting points for targeted heating.
For temporary tasks or changing work areas, we assess whether mobile heaters are a suitable addition.
Height, insulation, air movement and frequently opened loading doors inform the choice of technology and placement.
Electric solutions
Infrared heaters transfer heat to people and surfaces within their radiant coverage. This can allow targeted heating of work areas without bringing the entire air volume to the same temperature.
Electric short-wave heaters, long-wave panels and electric air heaters each have a place in the range. We compare these technologies for your work areas, intended operating hours, mounting and available electrical supply. For temporary use, we also consider mobile short-wave heaters.
The heater, its distance from the workstation and its controls jointly determine the result. Racking, stored goods and changing layouts can affect radiant coverage and therefore need to be included in the heating plan.
From your situation to a proposal
A suitable proposal starts with details of your space. These allow us to coordinate product selection, placement and controls.
Dimensions, ceiling height, insulation, layout, loading doors and working hours provide an initial picture of your warehouse.
We map fixed and changing workstations and assess where heat is needed and where heaters can be mounted.
Based on your situation, we work towards a proposal with suitable heaters, controls and the assumptions used to determine the required power.
When replacing or supplementing an existing heating system, we assess how it is currently used. Available electrical capacity, heating demand and any on-site electricity generation are relevant factors.
Consumption and costs depend on factors including installed power, operating hours, controls and your energy tariff. A fixed saving therefore does not apply to every warehouse; comparisons must use the same operating conditions.
Practical questions
The choice depends on both the building and the work carried out inside it.
This depends on dimensions, height, insulation, open doors and the areas you want to heat. Floor area alone is not enough to determine the required power.
The position must suit the radiant coverage and workstation. Mounting height, clearances and fixings must follow the instructions for the chosen model.
Targeted zone heating is an option. We assess the size of the work area, staff positions and any obstacles between the heater and the workstation.
Electric heating can use electricity generated by your installation. How much of your own electricity is available during heating hours depends on generation and other consumption.
Send us your location, dimensions, ceiling height, working hours and a description of the areas you want to heat. A floor plan and photos help us assess your situation.
